Space is the first question almost every prospective padel court owner asks us. Here's a practical guide to how much land you'll need.
A single padel court
A standard padel court measures 20m x 10m. However, you'll need additional space around the court for safety run-offs, access, and any ancillary facilities. In practice, plan for a minimum footprint of approximately 25m x 14m for a single court with clearance.
Two courts side by side
Two courts side by side require approximately 25m x 25m. This configuration is popular as it allows shared fencing on the central dividing side and creates a natural viewing area between courts.
Four courts
A 4-court facility — the sweet spot for commercial venues — requires approximately 50m x 25m, or around 1,250 square metres. This is roughly the size of a small car park or a couple of tennis courts.
Adding covers
Covered courts require additional structural clearance above and around the courts. A covered single court typically needs a footprint of approximately 28m x 16m. Our team can provide exact dimensions based on your chosen cover system.
What about irregular spaces?
Not all sites are rectangular. We've successfully installed courts on L-shaped plots, sloping ground, and within existing buildings. Get in touch and we can assess your specific site.
