Building a padel court in the UK is a significant investment, but the process is more straightforward than many people think. Here's our step-by-step guide to getting your courts built.
Step 1: Site assessment
Before anything else, you need to assess your site. Consider available space, ground conditions, access for construction vehicles, proximity to utilities, and any planning constraints that might apply.
Step 2: Planning permission
Many padel court installations don't require full planning permission and can be completed under permitted development rights. However, this varies by location and local authority. Our planning partners at Padel Plan can advise on your specific situation.
Step 3: Design and specification
Once planning is confirmed, we'll work with you to finalise the court design — including court type, metalwork colour, turf colour, lighting, and any additional features like covers or canopies.
Step 4: Groundworks
Good groundworks are the foundation of a great court. This typically involves excavation, drainage installation, and laying a concrete or tarmac base to the required specification.
Step 5: Court installation
Our experienced installation teams typically complete a single court in 3–5 days. We handle everything from unloading and assembly to tensioning the glass panels and fitting the turf.
Step 6: Handover and aftercare
Once installation is complete, we conduct a full inspection and handover. All Padel Magic courts come with a comprehensive warranty and we offer ongoing maintenance packages to keep your courts in perfect condition.
